The first Mozzarella Street Food store opens in Salerno
“Mozzarella Street Food” opens on Tuesday 27 July in Salerno, in via del Carmine, a new gastronomic concept born from an idea by Giacomo La Marca, former owner of Caseificio San Leonardo.
The one in Salerno will be the first store of this type, with the intention of opening others in the main Italian cities.
The format, in which innovation and tradition meet, aims to select and promote the food and wine excellences of the Salerno area through the methods of street food.
Enriching the Mozzarella Street Food menu are sandwiches created by Battipaglia chef Vincenzo Menichino, whose names are inspired by the territory and history of Salerno, such as “Masuccio”, “San Matteo”, “Arechi”.
“It’s a project we’ve been working on for months and we’re happy to open the first Mozzarella Street Food store in Salerno – explains Giacomo La Marca, one of the promoters of the initiative – the aim is to tell, through the selection of excellent products, the culture and gastronomic tradition of our province. We start from Salerno, with a versatile concept that we would like to replicate in other Italian cities.”
